Registered Clinical Counselling

Clinical Counseling Overview

Clinical counseling offers therapeutic support to individuals facing emotional, mental, or relational challenges. With techniques rooted in psychology, clinical counselors help clients understand and address issues affecting their mental health and wellbeing. Counseling may involve working through trauma, managing anxiety and depression, developing coping skills, or exploring relational challenges, providing a safe space for clients to develop self-awareness and strategies for growth.

Premarital Consultation & Divorce Consolidation

Premarital Consultation focuses on helping couples build a strong foundation by discussing core relationship values, communication styles, and future goals. By working with a counselor, couples can address potential areas of conflict, improve communication, and gain tools to handle challenges together.

Divorce Consolidation assists individuals or couples through the complex emotions associated with separation or divorce. This counseling offers a space to explore and heal from grief, disappointment, and anger, as well as to foster personal growth and healthy future relationships.

Schema Therapy

Schema Therapy combines elements of cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and attachment theories to help clients identify and change deeply rooted negative patterns known as “schemas.” These patterns may stem from unmet emotional needs in childhood and can affect behavior and relationships in adulthood. Schema therapy helps clients become aware of and challenge these patterns, fostering healthier thinking and relationships.

Anxiety or Depression Therapy

This therapy provides targeted support for individuals struggling with anxiety or depression. Clinical counseling for these conditions includes exploring the root causes, identifying triggers, and developing strategies to manage symptoms. Therapeutic methods may include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and emotional regulation techniques, all aimed at improving daily functioning and quality of life.

Trauma Therapy

Trauma Therapy addresses the lingering impact of past trauma, whether from abuse, accidents, loss, or other distressing events. Trauma-focused therapy aims to create a safe, supportive environment where clients can process and release painful memories. Techniques may include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), somatic therapy, and narrative exposure, all designed to foster healing and empower clients to reclaim control over their lives.
